ABSTRACT

In the last chapter, we have shown that any translation plane can be given by a spread of an associated vector space V over a skewfield K. Furthermore, we have noted that when V is of dimension two over K (/^-dimension one), there is, up to isomorphism, exactly one translation plane, the Desarguesian plane over K . Later in the text, we shall produce a variety of spreads and translation planes with various dimensions over K.
