ABSTRACT

Before the start of the synthetic polymer industry. there were a number of attempts to obtain moldable materials from natural polymers, mainly from cellulose. Trials of developing cellulose derivatives into industrially acceptable materials Ill. as well as efforts to identify excellent plasticizers for cellulose acetate (CJ\) ]2.3]. provide good examples. However. these efforts became unpopular with the stan-up of the industrialization of petrochemistry.
