ABSTRACT

Most readers also tend to forget original references that are too far in the past.

For examples, in 1956, this author prepared artificial red blood cells (RBCs)

based on microencapsulation of the contents of RBCs (1). Then, in 1964, he

cross-linked hemoglobin to form polyhemoglobin and conjugated hemoglobin

(2-4). However, hardly anyone was interested in these until many years later.
