Comparison of experimental and simulated images of magnetic elements using Lorentz TEM and MFM

ABSTRACT: Magnetic thin film elements have been studied using Lorentz microscopy and magnetic force microscopy. In principle the combination of the two imaging techniques may be used to determine the magnetisation in a sample. In practice this may be difficult and we show how experimental images can be compared with simulated magnetisation patterns in a simple qualitative manner.
