Chemical crystallography: Real space vs reciprocal space

ABSTRACT: Chemical methods of crystallography become more powerful, relative to diffraction intensity methods, as the number of elements increases. Examples of reciprocal space (ALCHEMI) and real space chemical crystallography are described. The two methods are compared with each other and with diffraction methods.
