ABSTRACT
The magnitude of (Ir)cr for any angle of l/J and any foundation shape reduces the bearing capacity because of compressibility effects. Numerical values of (Ir)cr for two extreme cases of BIL = 0 and BIL = 1 are given in Table 12.4 for various values of l/J.
