ABSTRACT

Realization of the plate as an adaptive structure requires sufficiently exact knowledge of its mechanical properties without the influence of active elements or control algorithms. This first step is aimed at proposing a computational model from experimental and theoretical investigations [4, 10]. The means of identification was the experimental model analysis (EMA), and computation was done by using the finite element method (FEM) with 2-D shell elements and alternative 3-D elements without consideration of damping.
