ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter the stability of the particle-meniscus of the planar air-liquid interface and of the bubble attached to a planar solid surface is examined. These cases correspond to the asymptotes of RP I R6 __.. 0 and RP I R6 __..ex>, respectively. In froth flotation the ratio of the particle to bubble radius is finite and is typically smaller than unity. In this chapter the force analysis is described taking into account the finite ratio of the particle to bubble radius.
