ABSTRACT
The existing physico-chemical methods of vacuum production permit one to create pumps whose technological parameters are, in a certain range of working pressures, better than those provided by mechanical pumps. The physico-chemical pumps are substantially better because they preclude pollution of the vacuum chamber with vapors of working liquids that are used for lubrication and hermetical sealing in many mechanical pumps.
