ABSTRACT
The stratification methods discussed in Chapters 9 and 10 are effective for addressing the issues of confounding and interaction in studies with large sample sizes. In addition, if availability of data is not a concern, the techniques of Chapter 11 work well in considering the role of an exposure level that has many levels, possibly ordered. Although these techniques work well in a wide variety of situations, there are substantial challenges still to face.
