ABSTRACT
Under the futuristic theme of AUGCOG New Directions, this 1st Augmented Cognition International Conference session focuses on augmented cognition and its influence on decision making. The session features research on the impact of augmented cognition technologies on the field of decision making, in particular the augmentation of decision making by advanced computing and decision systems technologies. The intention is to promote consideration of the relationship between research on augmented cognition and on computational technologies for decision systems. This overview seeks to provide useful perspectives for structuring evaluation in particular with reference to analysis of goals, options and effects for improving status (What GOES?).
