ABSTRACT
The pests most injurious to blueberry production are birds. They are especially destructive in small plantings located in, or near, highly populated areas; with increased urbanization, the problem is becoming more severe. Birds not only steal or damage ripening fruit but can destroy flower buds as well. If this trend continues, blue berry plantations may have to be protected for much longer periods during the year.
