This Conference stems from a European initiative merging the ESRA (European Safety and Reliability Association) and SRA-Europe (Society for Risk Analysis-Europe) annual conferences into the major safety, reliability and risk analysis conference in Europe during 2008. This is the second joint ESREL (European Safety and Reliability) and SRA-Europe Conference after the 2000 event held in Edinburg, Scotland.
