ABSTRACT
In simple words, accelerated testing is defined as any life testing in which failure-related data is expected to be obtained by the strategy of decreasing time of testing.
A function of a product is its ability to perform a specified mission. In contrast, related failure mode (or briefly failure) is defined as the disability of performing that mission as expected. Failures are divided into twomain typeswhich areCatastrophic failure and degrading failure. A catastrophic failure causes stopping in operation and could be recognized by simple apparatus and our senses, whereas a degrading failure results a decrease in quality of operation and needs to be verified by testing in different time intervals.
