Representation and estimation of multi-state system reliability by decision diagrams

Multi-State System (MSS) is used in reliability analysis for systems that have many (more than only two) states of system functioning (Hung & Zuo 2000, Lisnianski & Levitin 2003, Pham, H. 2003). In a MSS, both the system and its components may experience more than two states, for example, completely failed, partially functioning and perfect functioning.
