ABSTRACT
Satellites are produced almost always as prototypes (each one is a ‘‘one of a kind system’’), are nonrepairable (outside the manned space flight context) and therefore require in depth dependability analysis prior to launch such as:
– FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis),
– Derating analysis, – Worst case analysis, – Hazard analysis, etc.
