ABSTRACT
Abstract One of the main goals of a currently running research project is to study the interaction of a reinforced concrete slab with ribs in grillage slabs, and the influence of this interaction on flexural and torsional rigidity. A total 14 tests have been made. Test specimens represented full scale parts of open grillages and of grillage slabs composed of RC slab and two perpendicul~~stems of ribs. The specimens were loaded by different combinations of flexural and torsiOnal loads. The paper describes some of the most important results.
