Thermal Analysis

It is essential that the membrane is resistant to the hot surfacing even when mastic asphalt at 240°C is applied. Thermogravimetric analysis indicated that there is no change in the membrane up to this temperature. This has been confirmed in experiments carried out at TRRL where the acrylic membrane was not punctured by the aggregate during surfacing.
