ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the practical interpretation of pressuremeter tests since the cavity expansion theories do not necessarily apply, as explained in Chapter 5. The engineering parameters derived from a pressuremeter test are a function of the type of pressuremeter, the method of installation, the test procedure, the ground type and the method of analysis. The various assumptions and techniques used to assist with the interpretation of tests are described below.
