ABSTRACT

With the proliferation of quality awareness, not only in the United States but all over the world, the need for self-assessment and confirmation of excellence through a third party has accelerated in recent years. In fact, in some cases, that recognition comes directly from the Government itself Whereas the self-assessment serves the organization internally, the recognition through the third party is known as the “Quality Reward” and it is usually sponsored by a governmental department, such as the Commerce Department.
