ABSTRACT
The effect of temperature can be separated into short-term and long-term effects. Shortterm effects are generally physical and reversible when the temperature returns to ambient, while long-term effects are generally dominated by chemical change and are not reversible. The long-term effects at elevated temperature are usually referred to as the results of aging.
