ABSTRACT

Soil erosion on sloping upland of red soil increased after it was cultivated. Minimum-tillage with mulching, ridge tillage, and agroforestry technology had a profound impact on soil erosion and runoff. There was a basic balance for N, a surplus for P, and a deficit for K in conventional peanut system. However, there was a surplus in the nutrient balance for N, P, and K in other crop systems proposed. Consequently, the content of soil nutrients except for K was increased distinctly for all cropping systems. Moreover, there were spatial variabilities for soil nutrients within agroforest ecosystems.
