ABSTRACT

E-mail, or electronic mail, is the exchange or transmission of computer-stored messages by telecommunications. E-mail was one of the first uses of the Internet and still remains the most popular use. It is particularly beneficial in areas without land lines. With e-mail, even those who live in the most rural areas can have access to the same information as those who live in the city. Sent messages are stored in electronic mailboxes until the recipient opens the e-mail. All online services and Internet service providers (ISPs) offer e-mail.
