We live in an information society. This postindustrial culture is and has been formed and changed by the ubiquitous nature of information technologies. Computers, telecommunications technologies, networks, audio and video broadcasting, and the Internet have all become integral parts of our daily lives and activities-locally and globally. These technologies drive policies, procedures, and social change at work, school, communities (including online), and home.
