Introduction
In the last 10-15 years process safety has become an integral part of the development of new synthetic routes and more and more safety relevant information is gathered in typical process development labs. This is in part due to the increase of legal requirements, in another part to the widespread availability of powerful tools for acquiring necessary data, and, of course, to the dramatic consequences for a company an accident today may have.
