ABSTRACT
In addition to duty collection, the many responsibilities of the Customs Service include interdiction of illegal goods at U.S. borders. Such activities result in the enforcement, for numerous other federal agencies, of laws and regulations related to importing and exporting. Among these agencies are the Drug Enforcement Administration, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Food and Drug Administration, and the State Department.
