ABSTRACT
This chapter will deal with the type of structural defect resulting from the main loadbearing walls’ failure to perform satisfactorily. Foundation failures or subsidence movements are generally reflected in the superstructure walls, and these types of defect will be covered in the chapter dealing with foundation failures.
