ABSTRACT
In a randomized complete block design, all the treatments are randomly allotted in each block separately and independently. Under certain situa tions, it is not possible to randomize all combinations of factorial experi ment over the entire block or replication and hence, a randomized complete block design is not suitable. Split plot design is used to accommodate the factorial treatments.
