ABSTRACT
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) techniques have proved to be powerful tools for the
structural determination of organic compounds since the beginning of their applica-
tions in chemistry. They are particularly useful in the field of natural products, where
frequently the problem occurs of elucidating the structure of a completely novel
compound, sometimes possessing unusual or unprecedented structural features.
