ABSTRACT

It was previously mentioned that amorphates are simply defined as materials that are not crystalline. In general, they are more energetic (less stable) than any crystalline form, although there have been some exceptions reported in the literature. Because of this they have higher dissolution rates and apparent solubilities (Buck ton and Beezer, 1992; Ahmed et al., 1998), stability (Carstensen and Morris, 1993; Carstensen et al., 1993; Pikal, 1978).
