ABSTRACT

As i a is the largest continent in both size and population. It covers almost a third of the world’s land area and has about three-fifths of its people, with a population of approximately 3.5 billion. There are dozens of ethnic groups, both large and small, who live in nearly 50 countries (Pye et al., 1997). Large Asian population groups include those who live in and are from the countries or regions of Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, North and South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philip­ pines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
