ABSTRACT
T HE pond is one of the most widely used devices for treatment of municipal and industrial wastes. Oxidation ponds or lagoons can provide equivalent treatment results even without preliminary treatment. Ponds have low operation and maintenance requirements and, when land costs are relatively low, low initial construction costs.
