ABSTRACT
T HE rotating biological contactor (RBC) is a biological treatment system and is a variation of the attached growth idea provided by the trickling filter. Moreover, the arrangement for secondary treatment of municipal wastewater by the RBC process, as shown in Figure 10.1, is similar to the flow diagram of a trickling-filter plant.
