ABSTRACT
Measurements of the surface impedance of high-Tc superconductors (HTS) as a function of temperature, ZS(T) = RS{T) + iX3(T), yield information about the nature of quasiparticles in the superconducting state, their scattering, density of states, and, if a more sophisticated analysis is undertaken, about the superconducting pairing mechanism in these materials.
