ABSTRACT
At this point in the treatment process, the screenings and grit have been removed. Only after this pretreatment is done can a reasonable sample be taken to measure the concentrations of pollutants. One of these tests measures the amount of solids that are suspended in the water. Another test measures the overall biological activity of the water.
