ABSTRACT

C OMPUTER-AIDED design is concerned with using computers to aid design, and the forecasted amount for the market of computer-aided design,

engineering, and manufacturing systems was $25 billion by the middle of the 1990s [1]. Further, it was estimated that by the end of 1983 there were over 44,000 computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) workstations serving the needs of approximately 70,000 engineers and draft personnel [2 ].
