ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we give a concept of covering a that reveals the mathematical structure of multidimensional transforms, and we describe a class of transforms (Dn\ a) that are revealed by the covering formed from cyclic groups. The tensor, or vectorial representations of multidimensional signals with respect to the transforms, that are associated with such covering, will be described in detail for the twodimensional discrete Fourier, Hadamard, Hartley, cosine, and sine transforms.
