ABSTRACT
The investment manager needs, self-evidently, close familiari ty wi th
the investment markets and an idea of the expected returns and risks
associated wi th alternative forms of investment. This is not, however,
a topic which can be adequately discussed i n this book. Consider-
ations are, therefore, restricted to those features which are most
relevant for risk analysis and which are useful for model-bui ld ing.
