New product ideas are not simply born. New product ideas come from exanlining the needs of hospitals, nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians and other medical professionals, as well as from sales and marketing personnel. It is also important to talk with physicians and nurses and determine what their problems are and how they can be addressed. These problems generally represent product opportunities. A successful new product demands that it meet the end userts needs. It must have the features and provide the benefits the customer expects.
