ABSTRACT

As a matter of fact, both issues regularly seem to become confused. Additionally, a jargon has developed within some disciplines which tends to obscure substantial elements of validation, whereas clearness would be highly desirable here. Measuring is always fundamental in empirical research. This includes the evaluation of its outcomes in terms of reproducibility and validity. Ambiguities and mystification can only be detrimental to the possible impact of measurement outcomes, especially in a multidisciplinary area like Ergonomics/Human Factors.
