ABSTRACT
Construction industry produced a large number of serious accidents than any other manufacturing industry in India (Sen &Gangopadhyay,1987). Besides, there are also some musculoskeletal disorders among construction workers during the construction work (ILO, 1979). But even now in India no detailed study has been done on accidents and health hazards of the construction workers. Even in the most industrially developed countries statistics on accidents and occupational diseases among construction workers recently have been kept and published (King and Hudson, 1985).
