ABSTRACT
As the functionality of computing technology increases, establishing how to present information and control to users becomes more vital, and more difficult. This is particularly true when a number of classes of user may be performing different tasks, with different levels of expertise, on the same system. One solution to this problem would be to allow the system to determine the expertise and aims of the user, and present an interface configured accordingly. This is the aim of an adaptive interface.
