ABSTRACT

Many commentators have suggested that the key to organizational success is the ability to adapt and be flexible. Indeed, in contemporary global, economic climates, the ‘survival of the fittest’ must be the organizational watchword. In the pursuit of flexibility many organizations have endeavoured to develop new working methods and to build the skills needed to cope with the constantly varying circumstances presented in today’s unstable environments. Teleworking is seen by many to offer the necessary flexibility that will enable organizations to make the adjustments that are necessary.
