ABSTRACT
In order to recruit sufficient subjects and to take into account regional variations, a trial is usually performed in several centres. Overall, the purpose of the trial is to obtain results that are statistically relevant and to eliminate study bias. The definition of a multicentre study according to the Veterinary International Conference on Harmonisation (VICH) ·is a study conducted to a single study protocol at more than one siten.
