ABSTRACT

Formed in 1977 as the Quality Assurance Group of the United Kingdom or QAG(UK), and renamed the British Association of Research Quality Assurance in 1991, the primary purpose of BARQA is to assist members in the understanding, interpretation and implementation of national and international regulations covering Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Since its inception the Association has grown and developed to reflect the changes taking place in regulatory requirements, government inspections and the needs of industry.
