ABSTRACT
Some researchers evaluated the potential of TSP with nonpolar, normal-phase LC solvents (n-hexane, cyclohexane, and dichloromethane) [16]. Using a normal-phase eluent instead of a reversedphase eluent and, working with the PI mode, they noticed a 10-fold enhancement of the detection limit, whereas in the NI mode, both types of elements showed the same sensitivity for several chlorophenols.
