ABSTRACT
Chemistryplaysanimportantroleincreatingnanoscalestructures,wherethe modernusageofthetermnanostructureimpliesthatcontrol,andoftenexplicit design,ofthechemistry(orphysics)isrequiredtogeneratetheas-created nanostructure.Tworecentreviewarticlessummarizetheusesofchemistry inthissmall-scale(andsometimesHerculean)creativeeffort[1,2]andusethe term'nanochemistry'todescribesyntheticmeanstonanoscaleends.
