ABSTRACT

For ease of explanation and understanding, many of the chapters in this book deal with individual aspects of project management. This is not to imply, however, that these aspects stand alone or that they can be pursued independently. For example, one usually cannot plan without some negotiation, and one cannot negotiate without some prior planning. One cannot control without planning, monitoring, and directing and coordinating. Nor can one report without monitoring. Thus, we urge our readers to blend the several ingredients thoroughly in applying them to their projects.
