InFigure5.15,theendothermpeakedat576°C(onsetat572°C) resultedfromtheo:-/3quartztransformationinsilica.The broad,lowintensityendothermwhichpeakedat651°Ccorrelatestothebroadendotherminthesodaash-dolomitesystem(Figure5.12)andcoincideswithcontinuousreductionsin dolomitecontentindicatedintheXRDtracesat600,660,and 680°C.
