inordertoincreasethefinalparticlesize.Thisisinaccordwiththeruleofsizecontrol ofmonodispersedparticles,sincetheincreaseinsolubilityleadstotheincreaseof thevolumicgrowthratevattheendofthenucleationinthemassbalanceofn= QVmlv,wherenisthefinalparticlenumber,Qisthesupplyrateofthereactantsin moleperunittime,andVmisthemolarvolumeofthesolid.Theyalsofoundthat thefinalsizewasdramaticallydecreasedbyreplacingthewaterincreasinglywith propylalcohol(i.e.,from3J.Lmto-0.3J.Lmwithincreasingproportionofalcohol from0to60vol%).Thisisduetothedecreaseinvbythedecreaseinsolubility ofbariumsulfate.
